Every Atelier Au piece is designed to be worn, loved, and enjoyed for years to come.

Like all fine jewellery, it deserves thoughtful care to preserve its beauty and craftsmanship. This guide explains how to care for your jewellery, what is covered under our warranty, and how our Customer Care team can assist you whenever your piece requires professional attention.

Our Warranty

Every piece of jewellery purchased directly from Atelier Au is covered by a two-year manufacturing warranty from the date of delivery.

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects resulting from the craftsmanship or production of your jewellery under normal wear.

Should a manufacturing defect arise during the warranty period, Atelier Au will inspect the piece and, where the defect is confirmed, repair or replace the item at no additional cost.

What Our Warranty Covers

Our manufacturing warranty includes defects relating to:

  • Craftsmanship or workmanship.
  • Structural defects resulting from the manufacturing process.
  • Faulty soldering.
  • Faulty clasps or closures.
  • Loose settings caused by a manufacturing defect.
  • Manufacturing-related defects affecting the integrity of the jewellery.

All warranty claims are subject to inspection by Atelier Au before a repair or replacement is approved.

What Our Warranty Does Not Cover

Our warranty does not cover damage resulting from normal wear or circumstances beyond our control.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Surface scratches.
  • Dents or bent rings.
  • Damage caused by accidental impact.
  • Damage resulting from misuse or improper care.
  • Damage caused by exposure to chemicals, cosmetics, perfumes, chlorine, or household cleaning products.
  • Damage caused by heat exposure
  • Damage caused by swimming, sports, heavy lifting, or other physical activities.
  • Loss of jewellery.
  • Theft.
  • Damage caused by unauthorised repairs, alterations, or resizing carried out by a third party.
  • Damage resulting from failure to follow reasonable jewellery care recommendations.

Complimentary Cleaning & Inspection

To help maintain the beauty of your jewellery, Atelier Au is pleased to offer complimentary professional cleaning and inspection for pieces purchased directly from us.

We recommend having your jewellery professionally cleaned and inspected approximately once every 12 months to help preserve its appearance and ensure it remains in excellent condition.

Customers within the United Arab Emirates are welcome to contact our Customer Care team to arrange this service.

For international customers, we are happy to discuss the available options on an individual basis.

Repairs Outside Warranty

Even after your warranty has expired, Atelier Au will be pleased to assist with repairs wherever possible.

Repairs that fall outside the warranty period or are not covered by the warranty may incur labour, material, and shipping charges.

Before any repair work begins, we will assess your jewellery and provide a quotation for your approval.

Jewellery Care

With the right care, your jewellery can be enjoyed for generations.

The following recommendations will help preserve its beauty.

Daily Wear

Although fine jewellery is designed to be worn and enjoyed, we recommend removing your jewellery before:

  • Exercising or participating in sports.
  • Heavy lifting.
  • Gardening.
  • DIY or household maintenance.
  • Activities where the jewellery may be exposed to impact.

Removing your jewellery during these activities helps protect both the precious metal and any gemstones from unnecessary wear.

Water & Chemicals

To help preserve the finish of your jewellery, we recommend removing it before exposure to:

  • Swimming pools.
  • Hot tubs.
  • Seawater.
  • Chlorinated water.
  • Household cleaning products.
  • Bleach or harsh chemicals.

Repeated exposure to these substances may affect precious metals and gemstones over time.

Perfumes & Cosmetics

Lotions, perfumes, hairsprays, and cosmetics may leave residue on jewellery and reduce its brilliance over time.

As a general rule:

Apply jewellery last when getting ready and remove it first at the end of the day.

Storage

When not being worn, store your jewellery individually in its original Atelier Au box or a soft jewellery pouch.

Keeping pieces separate helps prevent scratches and protects delicate settings from unnecessary contact with other jewellery.

Cleaning at Home

To maintain your jewellery between professional cleanings:

  • Use warm water and a mild soap.
  • Gently clean using a soft toothbrush.
  • Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  • Dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.

Avoid abrasive cleaners, ultrasonic cleaners (unless specifically recommended), or harsh chemicals.

Warranty Claims

If you believe your jewellery has a manufacturing defect, please contact our Customer Care team at info@atelierau.me.

To help us assess your claim promptly, please include:

  • Your order number.
  • A description of the issue.
  • Clear photographs of the jewellery.

Where necessary, we may ask that the jewellery be returned to Atelier Au for inspection before determining the appropriate resolution.
