Ring Resizing & Care
Atelier Au believes your jewellery should feel as exceptional as it looks. We understand that finding the perfect fit isn't always possible until you've had the opportunity to wear your ring, which is why we're pleased to offer a complimentary resizing service for eligible rings.
If you have any questions about sizing before placing your order, our Customer Care team is always happy to assist. Taking the time to confirm your size before production helps ensure the best possible fit from the very beginning.
Our Complimentary Resizing Service
Eligible rings are entitled to one complimentary resize. The complimentary resizing service becomes available once your order has been delivered and may be redeemed within 60 days of the delivery date.
For customers within the United Arab Emirates, Atelier Au will cover:
- One complimentary resizing service
- Collection of your ring
- Return delivery of your resized ring
For customers outside the UAE, the resizing service itself is complimentary; however, customers are responsible for all shipping costs, customs duties, taxes, and any applicable import or export charges.
The complimentary resize applies only to the original purchaser and may be redeemed once per ring.
Eligible Rings
Our complimentary resizing service applies to rings that:
- Were purchased directly from Atelier Au.
- Have not previously been resized.
- Are in good condition and free from accidental damage, misuse, or unauthorised alterations.
- Can be safely resized without compromising the design or structural integrity of the ring.
As every design is unique, resizing eligibility is determined by Atelier Au following inspection of the ring.
Rings Not Eligible for Complimentary Resizing
Certain ring styles cannot be resized safely due to their design or construction.
These include, but are not limited to:
- Full eternity bands.
- Rings with diamonds or gemstones set continuously around the entire band.
- Tension-set rings.
- Certain pavé or micro-pavé designs.
- Rings featuring intricate patterns or engraving around the entire band.
- Rings requiring a size adjustment beyond what is technically safe for the design.
- Rings made from materials that cannot be resized using traditional jewellery techniques.
- Rings where resizing may compromise the structural integrity, appearance, or security of the setting.
Where a ring cannot be resized, our team will discuss the available options with you before any work is undertaken.
Before We Resize
Before any resizing is carried out, our jewellers will carefully inspect your ring to determine whether resizing can be completed safely.
If resizing is not recommended due to the design, setting, condition, or structure of the ring, we will explain the reasons and discuss alternative solutions where available. These may include remanufacturing the ring or producing a new ring in the correct size. Additional charges may apply.
Additional Resizing Requests
The complimentary resizing service is available once per eligible ring.
Should additional resizing be required after the complimentary service has been used, Atelier Au will be pleased to assist wherever possible. Any additional resizing will be assessed individually and may incur labour, material, and shipping charges.
If We Made an Error
If your ring was produced in a size that differs from the size confirmed in your order due to an error by Atelier Au, we will resize or remake your ring at no cost to you.
Turnaround Time
Most resizing requests are completed within 2 weeks from the date your ring is received by Atelier Au.
Production times may vary depending on the complexity of the design and the work required. If additional time is needed, we will keep you informed throughout the process.
How to Request a Resize
To request a ring resize, please contact our Customer Care team at info@atelierau.me.
Please include:
- Your order number
- Your name
- The new size requested
- A brief description of your request
Our team will review your request, confirm eligibility, and provide detailed shipping instructions.
Please do not send your ring to Atelier Au until you have received return authorisation from our Customer Care team.
